About Australia and New Zealand Head & Neck Cancer Society
The Australian and New Zealand Head and Neck Cancer Society (ANZHNCS) was established in 1998 by a group of specialists in surgery, radiation oncology and medical oncology with a shared vision: to promote quality care for all patients affected by head and neck cancer.
Since its formation, ANZHNCS has grown into a thriving multidisciplinary organisation, bringing together clinicians, researchers, nurses and allied health professionals dedicated to improving outcomes for patients across Australia and New Zealand.
Through leadership in education, research, clinical care and advocacy, ANZHNCS has helped minimise the impact of head and neck cancer for thousands of patients. The Society continues to advance its mission by:
- Delivering a high-quality annual multidisciplinary scientific meeting featuring leading Australian, New Zealand and international experts in head and neck cancer care.
- Fostering collaboration and interdisciplinary teamwork among medical, nursing and allied health professionals involved in the management of head and neck cancer.
- Building strong relationships with international multidisciplinary head and neck cancer organisations to promote knowledge exchange and global collaboration.
- Supporting innovative research, encouraging the dissemination of evidence-based practice, and facilitating the sharing of knowledge throughout the head and neck cancer community.
Today, ANZHNCS continues to expand its membership and strengthen its impact, remaining committed to its founding goal of improving the quality of care and outcomes for all patients with head and neck cancer.
