Ameya Asarkar, MD is an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at LSU Health Shreveport and Staff Physician at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center. His clinical focus is on the treatment of patients with head and neck cancers including microvascular reconstruction of complex head and neck defects, diseases of the salivary glands, and thyroid/parathyroid disease, with a particular interest in transoral robotic surgery and Upper Airway Stimulation implant for patients with Obstructive Sleep Apnea. Dr. Asarkar’s research interests include clinical outcomes in head and neck cancer patients, and thyroid diseases.
