Dr. Shaha was trained both in India and the USA and became a head and neck surgeon after completing his fellowship at Memorial Hospital. He was on the academic faculty at SUNY Downstate for 11 years and subsequently moved to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He has been an attending for the past 33 years and is actively involved both in head and neck surgery and thyroid surgery. His publications are more than 725 and he was chair of the Training Council for 10 years. He was also the past president of the American Head and Neck Society and the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons.
