Born in Taiwan and raised in Germany, Prof. Chia-Jung Busch studied medicine and conducted much of her scientific training at the UKE in Hamburg. She specializes in head and neck oncology, with expertise in oncologic surgery, systemic cancer therapy, and robotic head and neck surgery, helping establish one of Germany's first robotic programs. Alongside her clinical career, she has led translational and clinical research and completed her habilitation in 2017. After serving as Managing Director of the ENT Department, she was appointed Professor and Chair of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in Greifswald, assuming leadership of the department in 2021.
