Dauren Adilbay, MD, PhD, is a head and neck surgeon and Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina. He completed postdoctoral training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, contributing to clinical trials of novel fluorescent imaging agents. Combining surgical expertise with translational science, his laboratory develops targeted fluorescent imaging probes for optical surgical navigation, with a focus on non-invasive risk stratification of oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs). A former IFHNOS Executive Committee member, his work aims to transform point-of-care OPMD management.
