Deana Sikovska is an Accredited Practising Dietitian at Northern Health and current PhD candidate. Their Honours research investigated the impact of Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) pathways combined with prehabilitation. The project focussed on the role of preoperative dietetic input and interventions within multidisciplinary head and neck oncology pathways to reduce malnutrition rates, support earlier oral intake and reduced enteral feeding duration in patients undergoing free flap reconstruction.
