Dr Gary Brierly is the current Oral and Maxillofacial Ablative and Reconstructive Oncology Fellow at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, with a strong track record in translational head and neck oncology and regenerative medicine. His academic output includes multiple peer-reviewed publications spanning biomaterials, osteonecrosis of the jaws, microvascular reconstruction, trauma, and oral cancer, alongside international presentations and competitive research funding as chief investigator. He has contributed to systematic reviews, preclinical tissue-engineering studies, and clinical outcomes research, and remains active as a journal reviewer, and Masters student supervisor with a consistent bench-to-bedside focus improving reconstructive outcomes in complex maxillofacial disease
