Dr Halmos is Associate Professor of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), the Netherlands. Following medical training at Semmelweis University, Budapest, Hungary, he completed head and neck fellowship at UMCG. He developed an internationally recognized clinical and research line in head and neck geriatric oncology. Dr. Halmos currently leads the PhD program Innovative Clinical Studies and Long-Term Treatment Consequences in Cancer of the University of Groningen. He authored over 160 scientific publications and is involved in national and international initiatives aimed at improving quality of care and outcomes for head and neck cancer patients.
