I am a associate professor in the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at MD Anderson and a surgeon-scientist focused on developing strategies to utilize genomic alterations to improve risk stratification and personalized treatment in thyroid cancers. Both my clinical practice and research program are focused on thyroid cancers. My PhD training in genetic epidemiology provided me with a strong foundation in study design, statistical methods, computational biology, and expertise in integrating large datasets such as those utilized in multi-omic cancer studies.
