Mr Sundarraj Lakshmiah is a Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and Head of Service for the Maxillofacial and Restorative Department at University Hospitals of Leicester, UK. His clinical interests include maxillofacial trauma, oral cancer, reconstructive surgery, and microvascular free tissue transfer. He is an Honorary Lecturer at the University of Leicester and Adjunct Faculty at Sri Ramachandra Dental College, Chennai. His academic and research interests focus on ethnic and molecular variations in oral squamous cell carcinoma, particularly cancers associated with betel quid and smokeless tobacco use.
