Dr. Tetsuya Ogawa earned his M.D. in 1992 and a Ph.D. in 1999. Following fellowships at the University of Michigan and the NIH—where he received the 2001 AACR Young Investigator Award—and clinical training at MSKCC in 2010. He became a renowned expert in surgical and immuno-oncology, currently a Professor at Nippon Medical School. Dr. Ogawa chairs international committees for the JSHNS and is an active member of the AHNS. He has collaborated with the Japanese government to develop a novel, cost-effective intraarterial photoimmunotherapy, supported by a $2 million grant to prioritize safety and accessibility in cancer care.
