Wen Xu is a consultant medical oncologist at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and an Associate Professor at the University of Queensland. He specialises in thoracic and skin malignancies, with a particular clinical and research interest in Merkel cell carcinoma. He chairs the Australasian Merkel Cell Carcinoma Interest Group and the Melanoma and Skin Cancers Trials Medical Oncology Advisory Group. Over the past 5 years, he has served as Principal Investigator in >30 oncology trials, particularly early-phase studies of novel immune and targeted therapies, and has secured over $4.5 million in competitive research funding, including as Chief Investigator for MRFF grants.
