Dr. Iwasa is a head and neck surgeon in the Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Shinshu University. His research spans both clinical and basic science, with a focus on improving the treatment of head and neck cancer. His clinical research investigates the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs), while his laboratory research focuses on developing novel therapeutic strategies, including the establishment of cancer models and the development of CAR-T cell therapy. He is committed to bridging basic science and clinical practice through translational research.
